Some of the most significant highlights of Larsson's career came in 1994 when he won the Grand Slam Cup, defeating World No. 1 Pete Sampras in the final. That year, he also reached the semi-finals of the French Open and was part of the Swedish team which won the Davis Cup. 1995 was the year in which Larsson enjoyed his career high rankings in both singles and doubles, he was runner-up in the men's doubles at the French Open that year and was also part of the Swedish team which won the World Team Cup.
